06 Apr Holland Landscapes Highly Commended in two categories at APL Awards 2017

We are proud to announce that Holland Landscapes has been highly commended for two categories at this year’s APL Awards.

The Association of Professional Landscapers comprises accredited landscape companies who design, build and maintain gardens throughout the UK. The rigorous inspection process to join is the toughest within the industry. Along with the initial inspection, each member is inspected annually to ensure each member has up to date insurances, complies with health and safety law and their quality of work is to the highest possible. The APL is the only landscaping scheme operator of Trustmark, a Government endorsed initiative that promotes professional trades to consumers.

The awards, held at London’s The Brewery, aim to recognise and reward the high standard of landscape contracting carried out by APL members, and to promote the membership’s commitment to providing quality landscaping and complete customer satisfaction. The standard of entries is consistently high and competition is tougher each year.

A contemporary back garden in Colchester designed by Karen Chamberlain and built by Holland Landscapes was lauded in both the ‘Project Value £20,000 – £35,000’ category and in the ‘Hard Landscaping’ category. This project was deemed by the judging panel to show technical and horticultural excellence, whilst demonstrating disciplined construction methods. It was noted by the judges for its excellent attention to detail and overall quality in the choice and use of materials and construction, as well as the successful integration of hard landscaping into the overall design. We are also proud that we have been recognised as giving value for money within a specified budget.
